Create a shared reporting parameter that reports the dimension of the host wall thickness in the door family.  That will do.

I'm new to Revit, coming from ACA 2018 and haven’t quite wrapped my head around the Revit shared reporting or parameter concepts yet. I’ll try and find a few tutorials on the subjects and give it a try.

Thanks

I've created a shared wall thickness parameter that reports the correct thickness with door families that have been developed using the window family template file that includes reference planes hosted to the internal and external face of the wall. In families where these reference planes are missing, and I've had to place them in the family myself, the thickness parameter does not adapt to the in-model host wall thickness and stays at the in-family wall thickness in the door schedule. any ideas on how to get around this?

Hi,

Are the referenceplanes locked to the external/internal face of the wall in the Family?

Also, you don't need to use the reference planes, just place a dimension label at the wall faces directly with a instance reporting parameter like in @ToanDN webcast.
