door schedule for typical units

I need to make a door schedule for a multi family project. How do i make the schedule look like this? instead of listing every single door of all units, as all the units are typical, how can i make the schedule look like this.

@raysanziaei,

Create a Shared or Project parameter called something like TYPE DOOR NUMBER and assign it to your projects door families. Then replace the door number column with this new parameter with the XXX/a formated code, set the door number to be hidden and filter using the door numbers to show only one unit of each type.

Hi. I created the shared parameter but don't know how to replace the door number column with the shared parameter? Can you tell me how to do the next steps?

Thank you so much

You won't be necessarily replacing the column, rather:

  • hiding the default door number parameter column (and not eliminating it as it will be required to filter your doors) and;
  • adding the "typical door number" parameter and moving it's position into the first column.

To achieve this,

  1. In your door schedule properties, Fields tab, add the new parameter using  lucdoucet_msdl_0-1623760742325.png (Add Parameter) and move the field to the top of the list with  lucdoucet_msdl_1-1623760783221.png (Move Up);
  2. In the Format tab, select the default door number parameter and check the "Mask field" box. You can also do this directly in the schedule view, select the column and use the  lucdoucet_msdl_2-1623761137945.png (Hide Columns) function;
  3. In the Filter tab, set a series of selection filters to choose a common room number or room name parameter that will allow to show only one instance of each typical rooms you have in your project. For example, if units 001, 002, 005, 006, etc are type A and units 003, 004, 007 are type B, your filter would select only 001 and 003.

Good luck,
