Door opening not cutting trhough wall sweep on joined wall

In my project, I have two layers of walls, due to the design. I'm also modelling the baseboards as wall sweeps. When I add a door that is meant to cut through both layers of walls, I use the join tool to join the two walls, and this works so the door penetration cuts through both walls. However, this doesn't extend to my wall sweep baseboard. Is there a way to get the door to cut through all the layers automatically? Or is there a way to manually cut the wall sweep in two segments to generate the opening?

Is your wall sweep type set to Cut by Opening?  it works fine here.

I think it is? These are the type parameters:

Uncheck Cut by Insert.

Oh My god, that worked! I thought it made more sense to keep it checked. Thank you very much!
