Could be many things - difficult to say what's going on with only a couple of screen shots. Could you post the family?

Hi @nasibeh.montazeri ,

Does the door family contain any shared nested families?

These will not show in a legend (or not correctly).

Some use Phasing to create a legend in the model itself, I tend to use a non-primary design option to place the families in (some distance from the modelled content) for a "Legend", with this I can match the graphic appearance to floorplans/section/elevations.

Legends are to limited for accurate/complete door/window overviews.

this is issue for the view Template or your Visibility/Graphics Overrides
in your family they use the Subcategory "Panel" , you should check the Door or Generic model category for incheck the "Panel" visibility.
But in this case you change the family or you have not the good family version.
in your family if you choose the "zelfsluitend"and "30 min" your (sponning) work good but the symbole is not i think it deleted by the user or beam specialist.

actually, I have two different family in my legend which one of them is workbaseplane family and the other is wallbased family. I dont have problem with workbased family( which is actually the same) but I have problem with wallbased family. I cannot see the glass part in the door panel in wallbased family but in workbased family yes! so, I think it is not about visibility.

in your (door legend plan view.jpg) you can not see the door panel. you just see the frame and fire rating symbol so this can come from view.

i say in this case the problem come from your family this was for symbole(fire rating) that maybe deleted.

and this is your families in my revit.

the problem is fire rating symbol.

but if you send the deur file ,maybe can fix the issue.

Hi @nasibeh.montazeri,

Not shared parameters, but shared families (Families where the property shared is on).

Like this (quickest sample I could find): family-not-shared-vs-shared

The family (from the first post) contains a nested shared family (the door itself) this is a nested shared family so won't be shown in a Legend compnent:

2 options:

A. make the nested family unshared

B. Don't use a legend but place a instance in a non-primary design-option and create views from it.

Some use phasing to achive this, I don't like this option as it can still interact with other elements and in a non-  primary designoption not.

Thanks Michel,

yes the family has shared parameters. actually I need that parameters for BIM data and cant be unshared. maybe I can make a coppy of this family and make the parameter unshare and use it just for legend.

I was wondering why I can see the whole door in all views but in legend I cant see some of the doors elements.
