Does Revit Flattens Nested-Nested-Links?

I just linked a document that contains nested links into another document, and noticed that Revit flattened all the links. Here is some screenshot :

Is that the expected behavior? Does Revit flattens the link structure to limit everything to links and nested links?

Yes.  It has always been like that.  Does that affect your workflow or something?

No it doesn't affect my work. Just wanted to make sure I am not doing something wrong.
