Do shared parameters share their values?

Do shared parameters share their values?

For example:

• I defined MySharedParameter in Family1
• And assigned MySharedParameter=500
• Made Family2
• Added  MySharedParameter to Family2
• But I see that its value is 0.0

Is there a way to make MySharedParameter update itself in Family2 when I change its value in Family1?

You need to Associate the nested Family's Shared Parameter to the Parent Family's Shared Parameter.

Hmm? 🤔 Dunno. I thought there was. Can't imagine LT not being able to nest families together.  Do you understand what "nesting" is?  One family loaded into another.

I think you don't understand Shared Parameters. Read up on Shared Parameters.

I loaded Family2 to into Family1 and next step is:

I don't have Model panel in Create tab if I am not missing something, here:

There is only detail component.
