Hello everyone,
I am using Revit for a landscape Project and I am encoutering some issues in the modelling of the outdoor courtyard. I have to model a Floor with a specific inclination (for the Drainage), and this pavement is made of differents Areas, some of them are really urban Floor with tiles and some others are grass surfaces.
However, since the inclination line intersects all of These different Areas of my courtyard, I thought to follow this workflow:
1) first, I have modelled the Ground Surface with the Floor command, and by using the command Pick Point (in the Modify tab) I have assigned the different heights to all the external and internal Points of my Floor Surface (see figure 1)
2) then, I thought that maybe I could use the command "split Surface" under Mass or the command "divide in parts" in the modify panel, in order to obtain the different Areas of my outdoor Courtyard with the specific inclination. However it appears it is not possible, infact the command divide in parts is in Grey.
How can I proceed?
I hope the Question is clear and I am Looking Forward to receive precious Feedback.

How can I
Hi,
you have to consider the level of detail for your model, different materials needs different layers and thickness, modeling each material with a different type of floor.
Anyway, if you just want to change the material of the surface, you must to use "Split Face" and "Paint" tools in the Modify Tab.
I hope this help you.
Pick floor>> Add Split Line >> Then use Paint tool. This way did work for me.
You could duplicate the floor and use some in-place void cuts, so you get A minus B and B minus A so to speak... or maybe use toposurface subregions...
