Divided Surface curtain panel family problem with constraints

I tried to make louvers using divided surface. I struggle to make a curtain panel family with a sweep which would not follow the reference lines but one created. I would like the sweep to end halfway through rather than go all the way to the reference point. After looking at the images it will be clearer for you, I hope.image.pngimage.pngimage.png

This is what I get. Why is it nearly 'flat'

Hard to understand what you are trying to do.  Looks like you are using a Zig-Zag Pattern Curtain Panel. Is your Divided Surface using the same?

Post the file for us to look at.  That would be easier.

I created the louvers using model in place component and two arrays

I tried to achieve a similar result using the divided surface 'Triangle step' pattern. This way would allow me to make changes to the spacing, size ,shape... of the louvers, I thought. I couldn't make it work though.

in the pattern based panel family (Triangle step) i created a sweep along the reference line which is locked to the 'point 3' and ends in the middle of the point 4 and 2. For some reason when I load it into the divided surface these relationships don't work. What am I doing wrong?

South louver with offset.rfa is pattern based family

SOUTH FACADE SHADING.rfa is conceptual mass
