Display Global Parameter in Text

Is it possible to get my global parameters to appear in text? I made some area global parameters to calculate attic ventilation and I wanted to use these values in my attic ventilation calcs. I've been able to create a label that I can associate with a text global parameter but for some reason I can't modify this label to report a parameter that is an area... Surely we must be able to pull this info out somehow right?

Nevermind.  I had to create a new label type for areas.
