I have the following issue: The detail lines are build into the CW panel that makes up the window. And it works fine on all the projects they are used in. Now we have a project it doesnt work in. I have made sure all the view setting are the same. It works fine on 1 of the 4 buildingblocks but at all the other blocks they disappear.
I think i know what is happening but i would like some confirmation before i start solving it; My guess is: the 1st block is straight so the elevations are exactly parallel to the model/detail lines. The other 3 blocks are angled at very weird angels. So this could mean the elevations arent exactly parallel tot the model and thats why the detail lines disappear. Is this thought correct??
Correct detail lines
missing detail lines

Your guess is right. The detail lines on the window are only going to show when the projection plane of the view is parallel to the window (straight on). Otherwise they will be not shown because the "model" representation of the window is used instead of a "front" view of the window.
One way you might be able to deal with it if you needed the lines to ALWAYS show would be to draw in the chevrons using a model line instead of a detail line. Those would show in ALL views.
So the hosting wall is slightly askew in the view which prevents the window's symbolic lines from showing. Interesting phenom.
I'm on board with @loboarch. Using model lines would remedy. But they don't necessarily need be visible in "ALL views". You could control the model line's visibility somewhat through its Visibility Settings in the family, and by assigning it to a unique Subcategory that you could turn On or Off in the project view's Visibility/Graphics dialog box.
