Dimensions stopped snapping to floor structural layer.

Today I have run into a bizarre issue with snapping. Suddenly for no apparent reason my dimensions stopped snapping to some (most) of the floors in project - but not all. I can't figure out why. Please check the following image:

Both floors are the exact same type and properties, I am able to dimension the structural layer of the left one but not the one the right. The things I tried:

- copy and paste at the same point;

- change boundary;

- delete any opening cuts;

- unjoining any geometry;

- move floor to different level;

- creating new floor at different place;

..to no success. The only action that gave any result was to remove "Variable" layer from the floor type. But I need that so as soon as I turn it back again the dimensions and snapping option disappears. What's strange is that I can still snap to few existing floors, with variable layer on, but any newly created floors, and most existing ones, seams to by bugged somehow.

It's the very first time I have to write something here, but not the first time I have to waste half a day because of some bug. I like Revit but frankly I am getting a bit tired of how buggy and unreliable this software is.

Make sure that if you have edited the points of the slab, you are trying to dimension parallel lines, otherwise Revit will not snap nor give you the dimension.

Thank you for reply,

I made sure that linear dimensions I've tried to make were referring to paralel lines. But when I said that dimensions would not snap I meant any dimension - including spot elevation which should work any way.

Csn you paste the two slabs to a new file and share it?

ToanDN, did you have any luck with the problem in the file?

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Sorry I forgot about it.

I have no better luck.  Can't snap dim or spot elevation to the sub-layer of a slab with variable thickness.  I need to employ a workaround as shown below:
