I have posted an attachment of a simple drawing of a fence.  I need to be able to add the dimensions of the fence on the 3d view, the length and the width.  The length worked, but I havent been able to get the height to work.  ???

Thanks Barth... I really have only been using Revit for 3d presentations, and havent gotten into full scale anotations yet, but I can see where this will be helpful..

One question today, can I do a text override in a dimension?

Like Font? No can do. Duplicate to make new Type and change its Type Properties.

...would be cool override though.

...or are you referring to this?

If you click on the number displayed by the dimension itself, you can substitute text for the numerical value.

hey... been busy..

yes B.B.  that's the screen I was referring to.. in AutoCAD I can change the text of any dimension, even if it's wrong. In Revit, you can change the text of a dimension, but you have to use text, not a number. Wont let you use a number.  It's kind of like cheating.

I never would have made it through high school with fudging some numbers....

Yes you can.  By paste an Unicode character in the text box then you can enter any number after that.
