Dimensions Disappeared in view, but show in reveal hidden elements view

Hi there,

I'm having a display issue with my dimensions on a peculiar shaped building.

A majority of my outside dimensions have disappeared in regular view, (see img 1) but appear as un-unhideable dimensions (see img 2) in my 'reveal hidden elements' view. (I can't toggle them back to displaying in regular view.)

My floor 2  (the plan 1 level below) dims remain okay (see img 3)

Seems like bit of a display glitch. Has anyone encountered this? Any fixes?

I spent a lot of time dimensioning, and would like to avoid redoing them.

-Are Dimensions turned off in the View's VG?

-Is there a View Template applied to the View that has Dimensions turned off?

-Are you trying to dimension elements in a Linked file?

A) no, some of the strings still remain. Some instances even have half of the string showing, half 'disappeared' into an uneditable reveal hidden view

B)No

C) It is a linked file, but I would be the only one working on it at the moment. They were fine when I started my session, and this problem arised further back than i can undo

check crop region, crop region visible and Annotation crop in each view to confirm all settings are the same. and if scope boxes if being used confirm they are applied to each view correctly.

The dimensions disappear because the witnesses are hidden, not the dimensions themselves.  Unhide the witnesses then the dimensions will show.

I'm currently have this exact same issue (nothing hidden, no annotation crop, nothing in the template, etc). What do you mean by unhide the witnesses (witness lines)? I, too, would really not like to have to re-dimension everything.

I see dimensions.

Yes, you see some dimensions in DIMS1, but in DIMS2, the image where I've toggled the reveal hidden elements on, you can see all of the other missing dimensions. I just dimensioned all of this yesterday, and now half of my dimensions aren't visible.

If your dimension pointing at a floor and you hide that floor then the dimension will be hidden.

Well dammit, that's what it was. I turned the floors back on in the template and the missing dimensions appeared.

But that's the odd part - the floors were turned off initially, so the dimensions shouldn't have been associated with the floor at all.
