We like to dimension to face of stud. When we change our wall type to show the gyp. wrapping the stud, it no longer allows us to select the end point of the stud (red point in attached image). Any solution besides faking it with a reference line?
A bit of a pain, but--
You can use a very short vertical segment of the same wall type to create the "end" condition, and dimension to the stud layer.
ugh, NOT the answer I was hoping for.
but, Thank you! I appreciate your response
I cheat a bit? What I did I draw a small thin line same angle with the wall so that the dimensions can pick it up. Not a good solution, but I have no choice need to put a dimension on it. Thanks
Create a Basic Wall Type just for Gypsum. Add that gypsum to end of your stud wall using pick lines method. It will be the correct length. Beauty of doing this way is that your MTOs be more accurate. Plus these "wraps" can be turned into Parts. Revit wall wraps at inserts and ends are just cosmetic. They have no BIM value. It's been a complaint forever.
