Hello
Is there a way to snap a aligned dimension from center of a detail line?
Ok but if I want to dimension to center of a wall or floor? See image(im not an artist as you can see).
Is there a way of make this dimension line snap to center?
Hello from Spain, David
It seems that you are trying to place a dimension in the middle point of a wall.
Then I would propose you to draw an auxiliar object, like a reference plane, a grid ... in the point that you want, and measure this new object, not the wall.
Revit is not a good tool to place dimensions, at least not in the same way that AutoCAD does. In revit in most cases, an auxiliar object could be needed.
Any way, try to press "tab" key when you are placing dimensions. In some cases revit is able to find some singular points.
Regards.
Since Aligned dimensioning in Revit looks for parallel references to dimension between, I would draw an invisible line at the center of the wall and dimension to that.
Yes, have tried already drawing a reference plane and then dimension it from there and it works fine, but then when I hide the reference plane so does the dimension line.

Don't hide it. Witness elements need to be visible for the dimensions to show. Reference planes don't print anyway.
This is ridiculous, Revit needs a real revamp in which should including basic things such as this and the most anticipated ... infamous... dark theme.
