While creating a dimesion for two walls when I use the centerline the dimension is displaying as dashed and when using faces it shows solid. But I want to display dashed in both the scenarios.
Kindly help me out with this
can you provide a snapshot of what you are talking about so I can better understand the issue?

Tried to duplicate what you have described, @Anonymous. In both cases dimensions display in solid lines.
@dzanta - correct me if I am wrong, but Revit does not allow the creation of dimension styles with dashed lines......
that is correct. I ran into this issue a while back. I ended up posting a Revit idea to allow for full manipulation of the display of every element within the definition of a dimension style...including linework.

@dzanta - can you share the location of the idea so that I can vote for it?

You can set witness lines to center references a different pattern and a symbol.
Still, it does not answer OP's question. He would need to place a line based family on the edges of the wall and use them to dimension. Then the dimension lines can be centerline because they witness the center reference plane of the family.
