Is there a way to dimension the quadrant of a circle to another object? See attached, I have only Quadrants turned on in Snaps, and yet dimensions still will only snap to the center of the circle.
Yes! how did you manage to have the demission snap to the quadrant (without adding any reference lines or detail lines)?
Yes, tried tab (and anything else we can think of)...
1. Start Revit 2018
2. New Arch Template Project
3. Created a Drafting View
4. Annotate > Detail Line
5. Created a circle in the drafting view, copied the circle (to place two in the detail view)
6. Clicked on Annotate, Dimension, and we are unable to dimension based on the quadrant, dimensions will only snap to the circle center.
We would like to maintain a distance based on the quadrant. We would then also dimension this distance based on the quadrant, but we have not found a way to snap to the quadrant of a circle or a pipe.
barthbradley - I would love to know how you did the dimension on the quadrant of the circles. Are you able to share?
@rkernPBQSM : My guess is he drew four 180-degree arcs, arranged to appear as two circles, and snapped to the arc endpoints.

Had the same issue in later versions of Revit. You need to use the "Aligned" dimension to measure / dimension between quadrants.
