So I have 2 arch models linked into a third model, when the discipline is set to Mechanical, one of the arch models lines are displayed as dashed.

Welcome to the forum.
Open Visibility Graphics, Revit Links tab, and check the properties that correspond to that link.
In VG under revit links the display settings are both set to "By Host View", adding to that they are both in the same workset and all models uses the same Phasing. Creating a new plan view results in the same issue so my thinking is that the Host model is reacting to a setting in the linked model but I cant figure out what setting

By any chance could someone have change the VG of that link using the By Element option?
That option are grayed out for me when trying to change it.
This issue is limited to the MEP model, when checking the Arch models and setting the discipline to Mechanical wall are half-toned as they should, but in the MEP model this do not happen. In the MEP model it ignores the over write graphic by Category when using another type of lines but color can be changed.
Its almost like the discipline settings are changed for the MEP model.
Tried to draw a wall in the MEP model, and it follow the Linked arch model 1 in line style (No overwrights in objekt style)
-MEP model- (Disciplin = Mechanical)
-Arch model 2-
Hmmmmm....
Okay this is just a guess, but...
Try looking at the Halftone/Overlay settings for each of the linked files. Are they the same? I think that some view disciplines (like Mechanical) display all Architectural stuff according to those Halftone/Overlay settings.
Also, try changing the VG for the linked files from "By Host" to "By Link" just to see if it makes a difference.
Good guess...
The settings for Halftone/Overlay were way off, but it don't explain why 2 linked files were visually different.
Thanks for the help.
