Hi everyone!
I am trying to create dimensions like those i show on the screenshot below:
I could only do this by drawing awful lots of detail lines, and then referencing the dimension lines to them.
Is it possible to do these diagonal dimensions without it?
I know they seem like they make no sense, but we use them regularly in our office, they are used to control the positions of our structure on site before we build it (and check after they are built).
Thanks!

Use TAB generously to cycle through the witnesses until you have the endpoints. It's doable.
Yes,
Just use the 'Aligned Dimension' Tool
Cycle through the options, using the TAB key, so you select the corner, or any point for that matter, rahter than a line. If you select 2 points, you will get the desired akward lines you are looking for!
Kind regards
Thanks for the reply!
I tried to use TAB to find single endpoints, but it doesnt find them. I posted this Revit Architecture forum, but actually i use simple Revit 2016. Can that be the problem?
Oh Oops, ToanDN beat me to it. Guess it took me longer to check it in a model and type an answer than the time it took for ToanDN to make a drawing and answer.
Glad I (and we) could help and you can continue without drawing tons of detail lines!
