Developing a link between Revit 2014 and MATLAB

I am working on a model for optimization , the model has been developed but the optimization is still on break because i can not find the file format that connects Revit with matlab. 
I had one more option of bringing up Energy Plus between the two for creating a link between Revit and matlab but errors encountered the software so I couldn't preceed.
so kindly help me to develop a link between the two..

Hi,

Can I ask why you are trying to connect Revit with MATLAB?

I have created an Optimization workflow on the top of Revit using Dynamo (See dynamobim.org) and connecting it with Green Building Studio (see gbs.autodesk.com) and a Daylighting tool to optimize  building performance. Please see the attached paper that explains the process. 

I am going to release the optimization algorithm as an open source tool in Dynamo. Please let me know via email to mrah@tamu.edu if you are interested to learn more or post here.
