Detailed based line with nested item.

I am creating a detailed line based family with a item nested on it. The problem is that I am not able to set up the correct distance between the items, i.e. de separation distance between the array items.

Any tutorial to view and check that can be recomended.

You need to set ref planes to constrain first and second instances of the array:

  1. dimensions/lock  the distance
  2. then align and lock the first and second instances of the array to the ref planes
  3. and make sure the array is set to append to end

Once you tend to the previous post I will consider recording a tutorial

EDIT: On the same topic and line based family and arrayed detail item, has this been sorted out first? There has been a suggestion there addressing the issue of the array (use the simpler method by using repeating details instead of arrays)

Your call... However, a repeating detail is an array similar to a line based family array. you can have in it as much profiles as necessary!!

Anyhow, I will not be able to help you with the tutorial if previous reply is not solved. One fix at a time 🙂
