Hi All,
I'm creating a Building Section for a particular element in my model (Grid 9A - Eje 9A):
Structural Plan for 2nd story
Building Section for grid 9A
In the Building Section, I created a Detail View which contains the details of rebar configuration:
With this information, I created my deliverable Sheet, containing all views mentioned before, and play with the viewports sizes and locations:
My issue starts with the DWG export. In AutoCAD, I realize that in Layout 1, the viewport containing Detail VIew "Corte 9A-1" is rotated. I need to deliver to the client the Revit Model but also PDF and DWG files, and I don't want to go 1 by 1 of the sheets rotating the Detail views.

So:
Is there a way to avoid this?
Why is this happening?
What am I doing wrong?
Any tip of advice or recommendation for a different approach to doing the task will be very well received.
Thanks in advance!
Strange!
looks like the line work has been rotated in model space for ACAD, so i doubt pinning the viewport in Revit would make a difference but it's worth a try. When you export can you unchecking the "Export views on sheets and links as external references"?
Also, during the export if your click on the three dots next to your set up and go to "Units & Coordinates" tab can you try both Project internal and Shared?
Thanks! hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I've done all the combinations between your recommendations but the result is the same.
Even further, I'm trying a new add-in to batch export views to DWG and PDF and I get the same result.
My guess is the type of view I'm using, maybe Detail View is always related to how the element is modeled in Revit?
Any guess?
How big is this project? Could you share it? Sometimes it's easier to help when i can get my hands on the file itself. If you can reproduce with a simple file that would be even better!

Hi @nicholas_seibert ,
Sent you a PM with the attached files. Sorry, but this is due to my company's privacy politics.
Regards!
So i took a look into this and i can't get it to work right. The issue seems to be when the column is cut a second time Revit gets confused on export and the column is in its "plan" orientation, does that make sense? There is a team looking into this issue currently and i am hopeful a fix makes it into a future release. I will update this post too if a fix is released. I will keep looking into other workaround options.
Thanks

Hey,
I have the exact same problem.
Did you find any solution to it ?
Thanks!
Hi @Anonymous, by now I haven't found a solution yet. If you find something related, I'd be very glad if you could share it with me.
Regards!
Just wondering... Did you rotate the view on the sheet or did you rotate the crop region?
