Design Options not accessable

This morning I was working in design options, and now I cannot access the Design Options drop down.  My teammates can all access them, but even after everyone synced and I rebooted, I'm still unable to access.  Why is this happening?

Can you access the Design options dialog under Manage?

Are the tools / interface available to you? ie can you see them on the Ribbon, etc? You haven't disabled "Design Options" in the primary "Options" panel have you?

As it turns out, it had something to do with the connection between my monitors and my laptop- the design options reappeared whenever I was working on my laptop, or if I made one monitor 'mirror' the laptop screen.
