Demolished door/window hiding new door.

Hi all.

I´m having a problem with the phase filters.

When I try to add a new door/window on the same place of a Demolished Door/Window, the new door does not cut the existing wall. It gets hidden underneath the wall that is created to fill the Demolished Door/Window.

If I put the door in a place of the wall that had nothing before there is no problem.

Here is the file with the problem. It's just one wall with all the Phases settings. (cleaned the file for privacy)

Good luck 🙂

 Unless I'm missing something

You just change your Phase Filter to Relation

This screenshot might be useful to you. This is the typical fix when hosting doors to Stacked Walls, but not in this case.

I tried to fallow the screenshots but the only thing that I could change was the Visibility/Graphic  - Filters - and turn Visibility off, but nothing changed.

When you select the filling wall I can't change the visibility, it is grayed out for me.

One other thing. The file is from Revit 2020 but if I open it on 2022 or 2023 I have no problem, it works fine.

Try nudging the window with the arrow keys on the keyboard. I have had this issue before when placing something back into a wall with infill and Revit doesn't seem to realize the relationship between the door/window and the infill element. Moving the door/window and moving it back usually updates the issue.

You could also try joining the infill wall with the host wall.

This last comment help me solve the problem in other way.

When I moved the door to side, the door was half visible half hidden. Now I was able to create a new door and select the new fill wall as host and it solved the problem.

The Visibility Parameter is grayed out because it is NOT activated. The default state for a Yes/No Parmeter is NULL, meaning that it is neither Yes or No.  You need to manually check/uncheck the box to activate it. Once activated, your View Filter will work.
