Deleting Viewports through copying and pasting objects into a new project

Hello,

I'm having a few issues with Revit related to viewports. I have several on a document with several drafting views and sheets. I've found the only way to eliminate viewports at all is to copy and paste the drawings into a new project. However, if I do this individually it seems that viewports are tied to certain drawings so at first it may seem like I've eliminated all of them, but as I go through pasting they all slowly appear again. (Even if I've copied them all in the same default viewport in the original document). Is there a way to sever this connection? (Delete viewports and prevent them from being carried into a new project?)

Additionally, for some reason I can only copy by hitting ctrl+copy, not from hitting the copy button on the control ribbon. This makes it so I can't use "paste in same place" on the control ribbon.

Any advice?

Not sure exactly what the question is, but--

With the pyRevit add-in, Wipe Tool--you can Fix Unpurgable Viewport Types

I'm confused. A sheet viewport is just a window through which you can see the actual view.  What are you trying to do?
