When I open my default 3D view it just opens a blank white screen, I have tried deleting it and opening again, crop view is off, have tried both perspective and orthographic, and adjusting the eye elevation and target elevation. When I hover over the blank screen I get the pop-up 'go to floor plan that corresponds to this level' and when I click it takes me to the floor plan which displays fine, but it takes me to the same floor plan regardless of where I click on the screen.
Also when I open a new 3D view (by placing a camera) it opens fine but if I try to pan or change the view from perspective to orthographic I lose the view and just get a blank white screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
First guess would be you have elements a long distance from the main part of your model. Things like linked or imported CAD files, the project base point or survey point or something you placed a long distance from the model. The home view will always be zoomed to extents of the entire model.
Try removing CAD files and see if there are elements placed far from the main model.
Alternately could be phasing. Default will be on the last phase in the project and if you don't have anything on that phase it could be blank. I think the camera view will inherit the phase from the plan where its placed like the section and elevation marks.
Hi, Thank you for your response!
I haven't used any CAD files in my project or created any phases. (this is my first time creating a full model in revit)
It happened suddenly, the 3D view was working fine, then suddenly switched to wireframe then dissapeared?
Known issue. Apply updates.
...or it could be a corrupted view. Read article:
Thanks for your response, I have updated the program and read the article, and followed the steps and the view is still coming up blank. The eye elevation and target elevation values were very high by I changed them to normal values and it didn't fix the view.
