Daylight Analysis in Revit 2022

Hello everyone,

I have the following project:

There are two existing houses. One of them is to be demolished and replaced by a new building that is much higher. Let's call the house that is to be demolished "old building". The other house, which will remain, we call "existing house". We simply call the new house “new building”.

In the current situation, there are hours of the day when the old building casts shadows on the existing building. The amount of shadow that the significantly higher new building would cast on the existing house would be significantly more than it is now.

We were commissioned to use a sunlight analysis in Revit 2022 to show the difference in incidence of light per floor in the existing house.

It should therefore be shown that in the current situation, taking into account the shadows of the old building, so much light would fall on the existing house on each floor. In a further step, it should be shown separately that so and so much light would fall on the existing house per floor in the future situation, taking into account the shadows of the new building.

The analysis should initially include for both situations:

- The total light captured per floor per year

- The daily captured light per floor

Is it possible to do such a task in Revit 2022?

Thanks to you all.

Greetings from Munich in Germany
