Hi,

Can anyone tell me if dashed witness lines have been added to dimensions in Revit 2021.

Thanks,

Grahame

I am not seeing that as an option in 2021.

Yes. Can that be automated?

Somewhat, but not exactly.

Using Mouse Functions: Select all Instances in View + Override Graphics in View: By Element. Change the Projection Line Pattern.

Ok. So it's still all or nothing.

Thanks.

I only wanted the lines attached to the building dashed, not all 3. (the line under the text)

You could just set a dim type to "Fixed to Dimension Line" and draw some annotation lines dashed/dotted/etc. Actually do this a lot of the time anyway (dimensioning to annotation lines), not always though, but because I very much dislike the dimensions getting deleted error... bit of a control thing I guess, have to admit sometimes there are some random dimensions floating around consequently...

Did you double up your dimensions? Just wondering how the witness lines are shown dashed but not the line under the dimension value...

ARGH why can't we override the witness line style?? Or the dimension line style for that matter!
