Cutting Walls ( Notch ) & Openings

Hi,

Is there any way I can prevent this from happening. The wall highlighted with the red lines joins up through the steel column.  I only want the plasterboard element of the wall type to join.  The only thing I can see is Notch but that's for the beams and columns not walls.

Also, when I perform a wall opening say in a metalstud wall with plasterboard finish, how come when the opening has been created the plasterboard does not turn the corner into the opening just like what would be done on site in real life.  I've tried altering the wrapping at inserts or ends but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

I'm don't understand what you're saying, but I do see what you're showing: a wall inside what appears to be a hollow column. I would troubleshoot by looking at the column family first. How is it built? What are the visibility settings for Plan View? Are we looking only at Symbolic Line Work and Masking Regions in Plan View, or the model geometry itself? I immediately suspect it is Symbolic Line Work and Masking Region, and that the Masking Region in the family is drawn in the background - meaning that "Draw in Foreground" is unchecked.
