Cut void with void?

Hi everyone,

This might be simpler to resolve than I’m imagining, but I need to cut this void geometry at a 45° angle.

Screenshot 2024-10-25 103628.png

The profile of this void geometry is defined from the side, so adjusting the extrusion directly isn’t an option.

Since voids don’t cut other voids, I can’t create another void extrusion to achieve this 45° angle.

Are there any other solutions?

Thanks

if you share your family maybe can find better way.
if i was , i prefer to use the void Revolve as example:

Thanks for the video! I'm trying to understand how your parameters work, but I'm not sure what's going on.

I attached my family to this message.

Thanks again!

I need to slope a wall family, and I can't use the "edit profile" function because I have to slope the side of the wall and not the face.

The only way I found was to create a void family and then cut the geometry in the main model.

Is it the right approach?

Thank you again

not really good one

you say side of wall , side in plan or side in elevation or section along the wall which one ?for slope in the wall or any element in revit we have another way, you see a way for top and base in @constantin.stroescu video.but if you want to cut in other sides (left or right) or (in or out).i be glad to help.

Thank you so much for all the help guys.

My struggle here is that I would like the wall to adjust to the profile, but it can apparently only attach to one line at the time.

How do I shape it in a way where only one side of the wall slopes?

I attached a video of me trying out your suggestions.

Thanks again.

this is something else, now i understand what do you want .

Of course, if it's me i make the wall trim family with correct void for the wall.
