Cut Lines for Free Form Elements Possible?

This one is a doozy, and I don't think it's possible, but I wanted to confirm with the experts.

I'm using an Add-in called BEAM to import Rhino geometry into Revit. It works by converting the Rhino geometry into Free Form Elements and placing them inside a family, which I can categorize as walls, floors, ceilings, etc.

It works great, except when I'm cutting a section in the Revit model, there is no 'cut line' visible on my Free Form Rhino elements. Thin Lines are off. Overriding graphics in the view of the cut line doesn't work, neither does creating sub-categories in the family editor and assigning a thicker cut line weight.

The shapes are very complex, making it difficult to determine where the cut is happening in the section view. Additionally, the object is hollow, causing the cut lines and elevation lines to blend together.

My workaround is to change the Far Clip Offset of the section view to a very small number, draw a masking region to poche the cut area, and then change the Far Clip Offset back. As you can imagine, this process is becoming quite tedious. I'm unsure why Revit can't identify the cut line of a Free Form Element, even when it's hollow, maybe i'm doing something wrong?

Sounds like you are describing a non-cuttable family. Recategorized the Family/Category to a cuttable Category.
