I'm using Revit 2016, and my project has a curved driveway that is slightly banked, which I modeled using an in-place swept blend (floors category). However, the roadway varies in width (one side is actually straight), so I want to trim the curved floor to the correct shape using a void extrusion. When I create the void extrusion, however, and invoke the cut geometry tool to select the swept blend solid, Revit behaves as if the solid isn't there at all - it cannot be selected with the cut geometry tool. If I try to finish the void model, Revit then complains that it isn't cutting anything and will be deleted.
See the attached file. The red detail lines in the plan view are the edges of the void extrusion I want to use. If I set the start and end to -10-0" and 10'-0" respectively, it definitely intersects the swept blend, yet Revit acts as if the swept blend isn't even there:
I'm pretty sure I've done something like this before (on a steeper curved driveway ramp), and it worked. What's wrong here?
Thanks,
Michael Evans
