Hi folks!
When cutting an instance of category Column with a Mass, only the solids visible in COARSE detail are actually cut by the Mass. Is this normal behaviour? Is there any way to cut all solids in instance regardless if they are visible or not in the different detail levels?
Any idea why this is happening?
Using Revit 2022.1

In my experience, only geometry set to visible in ALL detail levels (coarse, medium, fine) can be cut by a mass.
So in your case, I believe the 'medium specific' geometry and 'fine specific' geometry don't get cut, meaning you see them uncut when you set the view to medium or fine. The one geometry get cut is set to be visible in all coarse, medium , and fine, and you see it cut when you set the view to coarse (medium and fine geometry are still not cut, but they are not visible in coarse).
Geometry set to visible in only Medium don't get cut.
Geometry set to visible in ALL detail levels is cut.
Cutting with a generic model family solid behaves the same way, only solids visible in COARSE view are cut.
@ToanDN thanks for the reply

If you want to cut the column in any detail levels then you would have to give up detail level specific geometry in the family and use object styles (subcategories) to control visibility of them.
I'm not clear what was solved here. I'm not clear on what limitation was confirmed. Somebody want to provide a workflow to replicate? Much appreciated.
BTW: That's a Column and a Mass interacting with each other in the View (1 for Coarse and 1 for Fine).
@barthbradley to replicate you need a column family with different solids visible only in Coarse detail and Fine detail. The cut will only affect solids visible in the Coarse detail level (as seen in the first screen capture I sent).
It seems that Revit will only cut solids visible in the Coarse detail level ignoring the rest.
