Hello world, i've tried to creating my own section head (arrow + text label). I found three problems.
1. How to change that default name show only number without "Section" text.
2. This label set next sections name automatically for example 1..2..3..4..5..... but how to change that name starts from letter A..B..C..D..E..F..G.... ?
3. How to set parameter that text will rotated 180 degrees if section is vertical.
Unfortunately, Tags cannot have Instance Properties which is what you really need here. You need to create different Family Types and place the one you want to use at each element Tagged.
Yes, i want create my own family type. Is there a way to remove just a "Section" text ? (point 1.)
Find the Section Head Family in your Project Browser (under Annotations), right-click on it, Press "Edit". This will take you to the Family where you can remove/replace/add Labels (e.g. the text). Easy breezy. As the Geico commercial says: Even a caveman could do it.
Yes, but if you look at my attatchments you will see that i did it. But When i put parameter "view name" it set name as default "Section 1" , "Section 2" …… how to change it ?
The Section annotation merely states the name of the view: that is the purpose of the parameter in the family called "View Name". To change where it says "Section 1" in the project environment you will need to change the name of the view to which the Section is referring. You can do this in your project browser by right-clicking the section view and selecting "Rename..." When you confirm the new name you'll see the text by the corresponding section head update.
Yes, i know it, but i wouldn't like to change it manually. There is not simply way to set this label parameter that it automatically gives name as a number, without "section" word ? In my opinion i should recreate "view name" parameter or create new one, but i'm totally fresh with parameters.
The short answer is that the default naming of new section views is hard-coded into Revit; you cannot change what new section views' names are without renaming these views.
@Redrunner92 i belive in your answer but i will look for solution yet. I found a video on yt with similar problem but the answer isn't fit to my problem, but mayby there's a way to solve my problem too

Now I'm totally confused. Are you wanting to change the Section Head Label to use View Name, or do you want the default name of new Section View created in the Project not to automatically include the word "Section"?
I've created my own section head family (arrow) with label. Then i've added to label parameter "View Name". Then i've loaded this family to my project. Later i've changed default section head and tail to my which i created. When i create new section revit name it automatically like "Section 1". I know that i can change the name manually but i don't want. I want that when i will creating new section Revit will name it automatically "1" without word "Section". Sorry if i not speaks clearly
That video addresses a completely different type of annotation family. The speaker on the video is discussing parameters and properties of a tag family. Section heads are similar to tag families because they display the properties of and refer to another item, which is essentially what tags do; but if you want to consider a section head a tag family, it is a different "class" of tag family. This means section head families are not nearly as customizable as MEP tag families, nor other normal tag families. Specifically, you cannot add custom parameters to section head families, which is the ability your desired outcome requires. I don't like shutting down an idea, but, well... you cannot accomplish what you are attempting the way you are requesting. Renaming the views after you create them is the only option here.
(I admire your persistence, even doggedness, though.)
Okay, that's what I thought. That video you posted has nothing to do with that? Tags just report information. They don't create information.
...you ought go over to the API forum and ask. You may get lucky. Personally, I like "Section" as default.
Ok, thanks @Redrunner92 and @barthbradley for your help. Thanks to you i didn't wasted many time. @barthbradley default section tags are cool but they didn't refer my country standarts.
