Curtain wall room calculation

Hi there!

I have a project where I am using both window families and curtain walls to create interior windows.

I've used "Edit in Place" to the glazing in the curtain wall to change its family category to windows in order to have both windows and curtain walls to be in the same schedule.

The problem is, the curtain walls lack information compared to the window families.

Is there a way where I could have curtain walls report to the window schedule and have the "To Room" and "From Room" show up? It would be great if I could somehow place room calculation points for the curtain wall panels, but I assume that's impossible.

My last resort is switching out all the curtain walls and creating individual window families in place..😢

What about using a Curtain Wall Window Family with the  Room Calculation Point activated  in it?

FWIW, I'm not having any issues with your workflow.  Set your Computations to Area and Volume, and raise your Rooms' Limit Offset.

Wow I can't believe I didn't think about using a curtain wall window family! I didn't even need to change the family category through the edit in place function.
Thank you for such a quick reply! All the best 😄
