Unfortunately Curtain Wall Doors can't be placed in Door Legends like regular Doors can. Understandable, since the dimensions are controlled by the grid lines of the Curtain Walls. So, I was looking to see anyone had a neat workaround. I have done some searches but only found old posts. nothing substantial.
We will probably end up doing the elevation of the Curtain Wall and switching off everything apart from the Door, but that just creates more unnecessary views and it would be great if we could add them to a legend which is much tidier.

Are you saying your doors that our in a curtain system don't appear in your door schedule? I've had no issues with my doors being scheduled.
No, I certainly did not mention Schedules. They don't show properly in a Legend View.
Maybe you can use assembly views...? Not sure if that's the way to go for that...
OK, and yes, that's a pain to try a find accurate workarounds. I usually do what you described. Sorry I misread your post.
I created a shared non host door panel family that can be nested into curtain wall door families and regular door family so that I can pull it onto a legend.
You can also create Assembly and Assembly views from any curtain wall components (doors, windows, panels, lullions) and use them for legends.
Thanks to both for this workaround. This seems like the best option, however, I would just like to clarify. Can the Assembly be dropped onto a Legend View, or is it just dropped onto a Sheet instead? I can't seem to load it into a Legend View. Am I missing something?
