Hello everyone,
I have a curtain system based on a mass family, and i really need to rotate the grid 2 for 0.04 degrees.
But obviously, Revit can't rotate the grid less than 0.1 degree.. this issue give me a wrong presentation for almost 14 cm.... Have someone know a way to force the rotation?
The only solution i have is to use adaptatif families to draw the mullions and panels in stead of using Curtain system Tool. But now, we haven't anytime to waist on this.
Sincerely,
I wonder if this is Revit - a software for construction ore something else...An angle of 0,04 degrees to come to a difference of 14 cm needs aprox. 200 meters....7 mm to 10 meters it's perfect on site...
I;ve made a screencast on this subject to see how it works ...even it accepts the value of 0,04 degrees for the angle , it doesn't realy move the grid(graphically imposible). Only when it comes to 0,1 , Revit anounce small inacuracies...

Thank you very much Constatin. You are right about the construction precision. and we really have a facade more than 200m.
but what i have encountered and embrassed me the most is about the documentation. As i haven't any control on the grids,my elevation have these grids lines in a slope. and when we do a spot elevation. i have 14 cm's difference....
Seems like we haven't any control on the grids generated with curtain system tool. if the 0.04 degre happens on the Y direction, it's totally acceptable for me as soon as there's no spot elevation issues. perhaps i can rotate both grids 90.04...... but Revit accept only the degree from -89 to 89.
I think that there is a posibility to do it if you make an extruded mass with an horizontal extrusion of a profile that has angles with that small deviation.
The Curtain System will follow the borders of the mass...
Have a look on my screencast. It seems that it does work.....

Thank you constantin,
yes, i think that your methode works fine.
but we can't change the masse now, because there's at least 5 operations to achieve the final masse.
and i am always wondering how revit decide the origin point for a system curtain wall base on a mass surface..
even if we can change it with the system curtain wall parameters. I hope that one day we could ajust it directly with in the massing environement.
If u are unable to rotate 0.04 degree than solution is..first rotate it to 10.04 degree and then again rotate it back to 10 degree..so your grid is finally rotated to 0.04 degree in desired direction.
Thanks
Kamal
