Curtain Panel Pattern Based surface

When applying a triangle bent pattern to a curved surface, the pattern family shows duplicated on every single grid componed, needing to delete one by one, and repeating if updating model

They aren't duplicated. They are overlapping.

What about halving the mullions?

Keep in mind the curtain panel pattern based, as the name suggests, is for placing panels, not mullions.  If you are okay half mullion approach as Barth's suggestion then is is a quick fix ( you will have half mullions around the border as well).

If you want full mullions everywhere, then only use the curtain panel pattern based family for the panels, not mullions. Then create a 2 point adaptive family for the mullion, place it on 2 nodes of the divided surface and use Repeat tool to populate it on the surface.

Another issue that you may have to mitigate for is the infamous 2" overlap.

To mitigate, indent the edges of your patterned surface exactly 2".
