Curtain - Door looks different to Curtin wall

Hi,

I've created a curtain wall and inserted a door.

But the door panel is a different color to curtain wall? (please see attached)

If I cut the wall the door becomes fully transparent.

Also inserting a curtain wall does not cut into the existing wall. It looks like it sits on outside edge? (please see attached).

Change the door glass material to match the curtain wall glass panel material.

You can move the curtain wall to where you want and use cut geometry to cut the wall with the curtain wall, or edit the curtain wall type and check automatic embed.

Hi

There is nothing wrong with the family, only you have to have a material parameter inside the family to match with curtain panels

for the position you've the offset parameter in the family properties

Thanks for your post.

I've checked the curtain wall panels & door panels they share the same material. (please see attached)

Does Analytic Construction settings matter for the curtain door?

Also, I've checked the "Automatically embed". But it the curtain wall does not seem to cut the existing wall

- if I understood you correctly.

In the project for the material in the type properties change the material for glass because could be different the glass in family editor than project.

the wall looks a little bit up, try to make it again above the wall who will be the host for embbeded curtain wall maybe the line is sightly out

Hi GustavoUbriaco,

Thanks for that, I managed to embed the curtain wall in ex. wall.

But I can't get get the curtain glass panels to match the door.

But that does not matter - because the curtains are embed now - that is, there all transparent.

Please see attached.

Thanks.

I realised after I sent my post- that your previous post mentioned offsetting the door panel to possibly making it visible.
