Current level definition for spot elevation

Hi

Anyone can tell me what the definitin of CURRENT LEVEL for spot elevation, my question is that current elevation always points to level 1.

No matter how you adjust survey point or project base point, current level always refer to level 1, why?

@Anonymoushello, what do you mean? not necessarily alway in level 1.A spot elevation displays the actual elevation of a selected point. Use spot elevations to obtain points of elevation for ramps, roads, toposurfaces, and stair landings.You can place spot elevations on non-horizontal surfaces and non-planar edges. You can place them in plan, elevation, and 3D views. Spot elevations can also display the top and/or bottom elevation of elements with a thickness. Top and bottom elevations are available for elements in plan views. thanks
