I'm building a template in Revit LT 2018. The Crop Region is not visible, nor hidden, unless I enable the Crop View.
I believe it was my experience in the non-LT version that you could have a crop region visible without the crop view enabled, but is this not correct?
I'd like to have the region visible on the template but without enabling the crop view. Is this possible? Thanks for your help.
Make a copy of the offending view with detailing.
I am able to have a Crop Region visible, without having the Crop View setting enabled. Just shows the rectangle there but doesn't do anything.
That is exactly what I want. Sometimes the crop region appears with the crop disabled, other times not. Seems inconsistent.
Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately that didn't solve the problem.
Thanks for your reply, but please re-read my post. I am well familiar with the two checkboxes for controlling the crop. I'm saying that even with the Crop Region Visible box checked, the crop region is not visible in all views. With the Crop View and Crop Region Visible boxes checked it's visible all the time.
Something I have noticed from time to time...the crop region border doesn't always redraw itself immediately after a change in state (checking or unchecking the visibility setting). Sometimes I have to scroll zoom in and out a bit for it to redraw correctly.
But that is the only inconsistency I've ever noticed. Perhaps something is going on with your computer graphics? Do you notice any difference if you change the setting for whether or not Revit uses hardware acceleration?
Thanks but no, no difference whether I zoom in and out or otherwise "refresh" the screen. Having hardware acceleration turned on or off doesn't make a difference, either.
Bummer.
Hmmm.... a longshot... but do you perhaps have those views associated with a scope box?
