I have paid for the plot of land which I am developing to be measured by a land surveyor. They sent me a DXF file with the height measurements. Every time I try linking the CAD file into revit it crashes straight away. The only error code it gives is in a notepad file: !!dbutil-core2d.cpp@895: eHandleInUse
I have tried simplifying the CAD file, but don't think there is anything wrong with it. The file is only small and doesn't have too many instances.
Any ideas? I am really stuck as I can't continue with this project until I can plot the typography of the site. Thanks.

@Anonymous hello, what version of Revit are you using. thanks
@Anonymous hello, i link cad for you. thanks
Wow, thank you!
I can't seem to select the file to create a typography...?
@Anonymous check this attachment. hope it helps. thanks
Thanks. Revit still crashes as soon as I try and open that file.. do you think it is my version of revit that is the problem?
@Anonymous hello, no idea... maybe it's your computer issue. i don't have any problem with the file. check it HERE if your computer meets the requirements to run Revit 2017. thanks
try to unistall and reinstal again. download from Autodesk Virtual Agent.
Thanks, I uninstalled Revit and edited a lot of the properties and managed to get the file open!
When you created the Typography, which layers did you select? The topography and the cad file are 10x too big so the scale is off. I've re-scaled the CAD file and now trying to recreate the typography.
Thanks.
@Anonymous hello, if i still remember it is cs_level from VG > imported categories. or just go to 3D view > filter > and select the cs_level. thanks
