Creating non dash/dot line types

mmeyerBV83N_0-1670008859860.png

I am trying to create a line type for a corrugated steel panel (above profile). Right now, I have it as a repeating detail component. However, the component only appears at 3' increments. The major humps are at 9" O.C.  so I COULD shorten the detail component to 9" to minimize having to "cut" the line", but again, that would only work at 9" increments.

I want the line to appear as need on a detail plan so that if a measurement is say 6", only the first 6" of the line appear and then be able to stretch the line, the humps appear as necessary.

Is this even possible in Revit?

You can get there with a line-based array and formulas that will control what's visible depending on the length of the line.  For instance, say you have a array that is less the 2. Well, an array can't be less than 2, so you would have to leave 2 in the array but make them invisible and another 1 visible at the beginning of the array when the array is less than 2.  That make sense?
