Hi,
I am just working on a cultural heritage saving project, and there are facade details that are old and partly demolished, the client wants to model it accurately according to the point cloud.
Im wondering how this can be modeled because we havent regular geometric elements on this.
Please can recommend some plugins for revit that can create fine details from point clouds.
Thanks in advance
Hi.
I guess you need to search for the software with function of converting point cloud to polygonal model. And then import the pieces of polygonal objects as families of facade details.
I used Agisoft Photoscan, when worked with point cloud through Photogrammetry. It has that function.
Autodesk ReCap has the same functionality.
do you have multiple pictures from all angles?
You can try to use ReCap Photo and upload the images to get a surface.

Unfortunately, I have only point cloud, and pictures from laser scanner, i will try to find some software to create polygonal model.
Thank you
Thanks Martijin,
I think that ReCap is disabled option to create mesh from point clouds.
ReCap Photo is what we use to do photogrammetry. usually we are doing a Site, but it should work just as well on a smaller scale as long as you have enough photos from different angles.

Hire some 3d modeler that use something like Blender to model them and export to a usable format such as SAT, then import in Revit family so that you can control the visibility (e.g. only show in 3d/elevation), then place in your model.
