Hi there,
I'm trying to create a filleted profile to a bench family that i have created. I have created a separate profile family and loaded into the bench family that I have created. I have then used the sweep tool and selected the loaded profile family. This has worked in creating the profiled edge that I want but the profiled edge is hidden beneath the bench. What Do i need to do to integrate the two? Is there a trim command/am I missing a critical point in the work flow.
Hope this is not too stupid a question and any help would be much appreciated. Please see attached files
Thanks
Nick
When you create sweep you can select how to position the profile with regards to the path of the sweep.
You also have to consider how the sweep should operate. Do you you need it to add to something or do you want remove something (use the cut geometry tool). This determines how your profile should be shaped and where it should be positioned. For example when cutting something it has to (partially) intersect with the element to be cut

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Hi,
Thanks for your response. I would like the profile that I have created to become top edge of the bench. As you will see from the files I attached, the filleted edge using the sweep has been achieved but the the old edge profile remains in front of it. I just want to replace the the square edge with the 5 mm fillet edge profile that I have created. I am very new to revit if you could walk me through it i would really appreciate it.
Many thanks,
Nick
