Creating brick detailing in elevations

Hi, I'm researching the best way to create punctuated brick 'shelf' detailing in my Revit model. The original house has decorative brick shelves under the eaves and around the window, as seen in this photograph. They are of a slightly darker colour and wrap around the outer walls.

Is there a simpler way to do this other than creating separate walls of differing widths stacked on top of each other?

If it’s for representation purposes or cosmetics modeling... split and paint

@Anonymous - Either split / paint (per @RDAOU - hey, welcome back!!) or crate a wall Sweep / Reveal

If for the purposes of a 3D model presentation as opposed to 2D output, then wall reveal tools may assist. Custom family / profile may also be an option. 

You could also integrate reveals into your wall assembly via the wall type properties.

Regarding your comment about individual wall thickness stacked on top of eachother.... if you ever find yourself doing this, investigate revit 'stacked walls' first. You may prefer them. Not always the best option, but another option none the less.
