CREATING A WALL FIXED LIGHT

Hi I am trying to create a wall light.

I have started with a lighting fixture wall based family, then i have imported the light model (import cad) and  positioned on the wall( familyprojectsee pic with hatch). when I import the light into a real project the light disappears into the wall.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

sounds like you didn't align and lock it to the face of the host wall.
