I have a school project where we are designing a roller coaster. We have uploaded the roller coaster into Revit from AutoCAD Civil 3D.
I am trying to create a section view so we only see one frame at a time. I created a section view but as you can see from the image below, this section view is showing every single frame in front of it.
How do I create a section view and add more barriers so you can only see one frame at a time? (We will be needing to do this about 260 times total for the entire coaster)
Thank you so much for your time, this has been an annoying dilemma.
Reduce the Far Clip distance.
...are you saying you are going to create 260 sections?
...interesting assignment. I can see an application for the Graphical Column Schedule here. Just a thought. I don't design roller-coasters myself. Just like to ride them. ![]()
Thank you for your response.
Yes, we need about 260 sections so we can detail all the independent frames of the coaster.
And reducing the Far Clip distance did not make a difference. Whether the distance is 1' or 20', the image appears the same. Also clipping "With line" and "Without line" made no difference.
Thank you for your response.
I created a scope box but it didn't change what is visible in the section view. Did I understand that correctly? Is there a setting to limit the view? I'm very new to Revit and I have found the info online about sections and scope boxes confusing.
Thank you
Hello,
I have been attempting to change the lines into a cuttable category but I can't seem to change it. Do you have any suggestions on the process to change the lines to being cuttable?
Thank you.
