I would like to create sloped glazing for a roof skylight and match a specific slope. I thought it would be easier to do so by creating the roof on a sloped Reference Plane. I created one in a section and named it, but when I go to either a plan view or 3D view, and after setting the work plane to the named Reference plane, I get the error message that "The work plane of this view cannot be used for this operation". What should I be doing please?

Are you trying to do a Roof by Extrusion? You need to create a Work Plane perpendicular to Level. You do this by drawing and naming a Ref. Plane in Plan View, then in Section/Elevation View (or 3D) set the Current Work Plane to the named Ref. Plane/Work Plane.

I am trying to create a Roof by Footprint by drawing it in on a sloped plane. I've done this before by drawing in beams on a sloped reference plane, but I can't get it to work with the sloped glazing / roof. By the way, Work Plane sets and shows as I would expect, I just get the error message. I'll try a 'clean' file.
