Hi everyone! I'm modeling a church and it has various historic phases and I want to show that. I know that Revit has the command phases but with that, I don't have a view where I can see every element phase.
I found an article where they created a parameter Year and then associated a color to overcome this problem.
Do you know how can I replicate it?

Create a new Project Parameter "Year" (text based), add this to the necessary categories (walls, floors, roofs, windows, doors,...).
Next select the elements and enter the dates in the Year parameter.
Now you can create a filter for each year and assign a colour to the filter.
I tried doing that, but is there a way to create a list of phases and then choosing between them? Or I have to select every element and write Phase 1555, Phase 1761 etc?
Just create a new project parameter, parameter type is text, assign it to all applicable model categories. Then select portion of your model that belong to a certain year and enter that year for the parameter under properties. Repeat for the entire model until you got everything covered. Next, create view filters using that parameter as the criteria and override color for each filter for the view and you can have different colors for different years.
